Paul Murray dropped due to being Farcical

Paul Murray is an English coach who took charge of the English League Two club Hartlepool United on October 23 of the current year but his stay with the team did not last long as he was sacked and removed from the managerial position after only 6 weeks.

This news is something that the coach of Bury FC, David Flitcroft finds to be ‘’farcical’’

‘’When I see the Hartlepool manager getting sacked after seven games, it’s become farcical. The world of football has become farcical. I think that heaps pressure on everyone at a football club’’ David Flitcroft said.

During the playing career of Paul Murray, he managed to make over 90 appearances for Hartlepool United as a player but even with the trust and contributions that he had made with his former club, they did not have enough patience with him to not allow him stay for more than 6 weeks as a coach.

David Flitcroft is not the only football figure that has expressed his thoughts about the extremely quick sacking of Paul Murray from the managerial role at Hartlepool United as the manager of Oldham Athletic, Lee Johnson also had a few things to say concerning this surprising and harsh decision.

“It’s a joke isn’t it? Let’s be honest. They have brought in a rookie, given him seven games and then have got rid of him.It is something that is very wrong in football at the moment. Managers all over the place are under pressure and it is having a real effect on English football. We are looking at wanting England to win the World Cup and bringing English managers through but we are making knee-jerk reactions.

“If you are going to give someone the opportunity to have a first-time job then you have to stick with them, because nobody can perform miracles with what was very poor recruitment before his term’’ Lee Johnson said as  he expressed how wrong of that decision in his point of view it was to sack Paul Murray in such a quick manner.
